Atlantica Goes To Facebook?

Be joy all my fellow gamers! For who to know about Atlantica Online but can't play it because it need client, then it's a great news for you (include me also)! I just get this news from this great site about this news. It seems migration to social media like Facebook is a new trend for game developers. Well, you can't blame them because they just trying to get some of your money while giving you the pleasure. It's worth I think. Look at those Zynga's game. It's all free, but in the same time they still can get a really huge amount of dollars by selling some special items to help the players to accelerate their game.

The era of all those clients and console game seems almost over. It's time to retreat to social media and web-based games! Yeah, that's it! Why you need to troubling your promising costumers with all those client programs and CDs when you can just give them what they want immediately?

I wonder when I can play Ragnarok in Facebook to. Hopefully soon.

Nadirim, The Stronghold In a Browser

Okay, it's not a game from The Stronghold franchise. But looking at this game's graphic reminds me to that time where two sultans are fighting for land and glory. Yes, the soul of this game is a world in ancient Arabian world. The names used in the game by the NPCs and the quests have some Arabic flavor, even though it’s not surely an Arabic words (but who cares, right?).

Nadirim is a kind of unique web browser game. While other games trying to put RTS or pure RPG in their gameplay, Nadirim is instead using Turn-Based Strategy in their fighting scene. Well, it still has some quests to fulfill in order to level up, just like an ordinary RPG. But it’s all different in fighting. When you fight, you will see an arena with you and your enemy (monsters, NPCs, etc.) inside it. There are hexagonal tiles between and around you and your enemy. You will have to step up to any possible direction or stand on your position, and then launch your attack. There are a bar in the bottom left of your browser. If you wanna skip the step turn, just click the other pictures and it automatically passes the step turn. You can choose wether to launch an attack or heal yourself with healing items. Your attack has a range, so stepping to the right tile can give you enough range to launch your attack and also defend yourself from enemy’s attack. Your enemy can also do the same, so better to careful in your step. If you wanna simply end your turn, just click the button in the bottom left for end your turn.

Nadirim has RPG style on it as well. In the first, you have to choose one of three classes and the gender of your character. The classes are: Rouge, Warrior, and Sage. The Rouge has assassin look, with their katara and deadly and tricky attacks. The Warrior class took an image of Ottoman warrior in Crusade War. With their Battle cry, everything can be different in a fight. The Sage has it ability based on magic and alchemist art. Their spells and poisons can reach quite long range. If you like long-range battle, it’s a good choice to use.

That’s all about the pros. The cons? Of course there are some of them. It needs some times to load. It means it’s a heavy game. It’s worthy, though. The game has good 3D effect, so it’s equal. Each character has 100 energy points that will runs off each time you do a quest or battles. It feels like constrain the character’s movement, and I’m sure there are some people that hate that. The old style in quest windows and also in the menu bar is sometime feels dragging my game spirit back off — okay, it’s subjective.

And that’s all I can say about this game. If you like the “1001 night” world, then you’ll not care about this game’s contra. So then, enjoy your game everyone! And don’t forget to share it with me. See you again!

Crystal Saga

Crystal saga's loading page
Well, it seems the claiming campaign they use is not a gibberish at all. The 3D quality is above the average. Even so, this web-based game doesn't take a long time to load. That's a good plus point for anyone who have a connection issue.

The gameplay is simple, since it's just like another RPG game. There are many quests (Main Quest and Optional quest) you can take to make your level up faster. You can also get great items from clearing a quest. You don't have to walking around the map dizzily to find the quest's NPC since it' has Quest Tracking to help you to find the spot you're looking. Each time you finish a quest or killing a monster, you will get some experience points to level up. I guess RPG players know how that work.

There are 5 classes you can choose: Knight, Mage, Ranger, Rouge, and Priest. Each class with their own advantages. Each time your character level up, it will get some skill points (earn start from level 10) that you can use to learn some fighting skill. Each class can only using a weapon or armor that suitable to their class. You can get those from NPC or by killing a monster. It's usually when you kills a monster you will get a weapon or an armor but it's not suitable to your class. If this happen, just keep them. You can sell them for some bronze or silver and buy something that suitable to you. Almost all item in Crystal Saga can be sell, as long a it's not a Bound item.

As other similar games, Crystal Saga also have pet system. You can taming a wild monster and use it as your pet. They will very helpful in the battle, so make sure you have one. The taming item in Crystal Saga is called Pet Taming Scroll.

OK! Enough with this posting! Why you don't try it yourself? Fell free to comment here and share your experience with me. Good play everyone!
